The Japanese legend of the “red thread” highlights the power of destiny in our lives. However, RED reimagines this concept by emphasizing free will and the individual’s ability to shape their own fate.
Instead of a thread, it is RED, symbolizing the freedom to choose our path and connect with various people and places, regardless of circumstances. This reinterpretation breaks away from the constraints imposed by destiny and celebrates individual autonomy, making each day unique.
The Lexus LBX vehicle acts as the catalyst that connects people with their future. The network emerges from the car, which, through a textile stiffening technique, transforms the space with its three-dimensional geometry. This RED is dynamic and adaptable, reflecting the versatility of the vehicle itself.
The installation’s inherent idiosyncrasy allows it to adapt to different environments and moments, creating unique experiences for each viewer. Its ability to change and transform according to the context makes it a living work of art.
In summary, RED challenges the notion of a predetermined destiny, promoting the idea that we are the architects of our own fate. With its focus on freedom and flexibility, this installation inspires individuals to take control of their lives and create an extraordinary future.
